A message from our Baseball Partner, Glastonbury Amateur Baseball for our graduating 12 year old players. This is a tremendous program for our Majors graduates, conveniently local, conducted on great fields including Riverfront, very reasonably priced, led by former AA player and current GHS Varsity Coach. This is the higher level at lower level cost

Dear Glastonbury Little League 12 year old Graduates and Parents,
Please join us Monday July 30th 6:00PM at Riverfront Park for a meet and greet about Glastonbury Amateur Baseball (GAB), our community based competitive travel baseball program and the Fall Big Diamond Program. We will serve pizza and let the boys play catch and experience Riverfront Park for the first time.
GAB’s Big Diamond offers GLL 12 year old graduates an invaluable introduction to the 90 foot diamond. Big Diamond is a combination of instruction, controlled scrimmages and games versus towns around Hartford County. Season will begin in September and likely conclude 3rd to 4th week in October. See attachments below about GAB's mission and program goals.
Most Big Diamond practices and scrimmages are at Smith Middle School and the lead instructor is GHS Varsity Coach Dennis Accomando along with a talented group of GAB instructors from High School and College ranks. We encourage parents who have coached to please volunteer to help with the teams. It’s a lot of fun and you get to also learn the game on the larger diamond and help your son as he progresses along in his baseball development.
The fall schedule is being put together and will be posted on line shortly. Player evaluations are scheduled for Friday August 30th at Riverfront Park at 6 PM to 8:00PM. All registered players need to attend. Teams will be chosen and the schedule forwarded to all players later that week.
Based on registration we will likely have 2 teams. Last year’s schedule began Sept 8 and involved 2 to 3 events per week.
